Courtesy of the number crunchers at the ABS, Australia’s employed persons total 11.6 million. Recent figures cite more than 2 million SME’s exist in Australia¹. Over the last quarter over 85% of our settled transactions came from and went to SME’s. This has risen 17% over the last 12 months and reflects the general shift in the sector with small business confidence improving now that the GFC is now firmly in the rear view mirror.
